To render music in its whole beauty, with its natural “timbre“ and its fine aura the smallest nuances between single tones have to be worked out perfectly. This is exactly the dynamic resolution ability of the pre amp circuits plays its decisive role. Typically pre amps are designed for optimal performance data, which can result in non-dynamic response behavior. Pre amps that are good from a measurement perspective will not necessarily sound good.
